What is H-ARP?
H-ARP is a hub whose objective is to make infrastructures and advanced skills available to companies in order to evaluate, through dedicated paths, the benefits and solutions that can be implemented thanks to 3D printing, identifying the areas in which it can be more advantageous compared to traditional manufacturing. H-ARP develops this path in the TEC4I FVG premises, where companies can receive the full support of qualified technicians in the design and printing of components and experiment with different techniques and materials to make everything from prototypes to small series.
H-ARP Metal is the laboratory specialising in the design, engineering and printing of metal components.
H-ARP Poli is the laboratory that specialises in the design and printing of polymer and composite components and also has reverse engineering and subtractive manufacturing technologies (CNC milling machines, laser cutting).
Our philosophy
Test Before Invest
The H-ARP HUB makes available methodologies and technologies of additive manufacturing with the aim of providing FVG companies with a support structure to:
- Exploit the benefits of 3D printing in R&D, prototyping and small-series production processes, being able to experiment with different shapes and solutions for their products and components, without burdening the production structure and without the need to acquire machinery, moulds and other fixed-cost elements to manufacture the components (regardless of whether the components themselves once the experimentation is complete are produced by additive manufacturing or not)
- Experimenting with additive manufacturing as a production technology to verify its suitability for one's own needs before embarking on major investments.
In this twofold sense, H-ARP's philosophy is based on the so-called ‘test before invest’, which aims to minimise the risks and fixed costs of research and development for companies.
Open Innovation
The participatory model underlying H-ARP facilitates the exchange of knowledge between companies, encourages the comparison and sharing of experiences in both the design and production spheres, stimulates an innovative strategic vision and activates a virtuous circle capable of increasing collective potential.
