IZC General Construction

IZC General Construction Srl primarily provides restoration and new building construction services in the educational, healthcare, and public sectors.

Challenge

The collaboration arose from the need to identify a tool for monitoring company contracts in an industry where contracts are the primary means of tracking the company's business.

Solution

The solution identified in collaboration with TEC4I FVG involves creating a Proof of Concept (PoC) for a company contract monitoring dashboard. This is a database that allows for the consolidation and analysis of data related to company contracts in a unified and concise format using Microsoft's Power BI.

Future developments

IZC Construction is committed to sensitizing project managers to the importance of correctly and promptly entering construction site data in order to make the most of the potential of the new system.

At the same time, they are considering further interventions in data management and the training of resources with the goal of integrating "Lean" principles into planning and construction processes, as well as using applications for equipment movement and location tracking in warehouses and on construction sites.

Benefits

The implementation is in the final stages, but the company has already experienced the initial benefits offered by the new digital solution:

  1. Having a single reliable and up-to-date source of company data for making informed strategic decisions.
  2. Accessing "intelligent" data analyses that are easy to read, interpret, and share.
  3. Simultaneously monitoring the progress and costs of various ongoing construction projects.

In an industry like construction, it's also important to invest in digitalization, with support from competent players like TECH4I.
